After watching Ellen DeGeneres play a game called Let It Rain on her daytime talk show, you make up your own version to play at

home with your roommate. You play the game as follows: each person takes a turn flipping a fair coin. If the coin lands on heads, that person rolls a 4-sided die where 3 sides of the die are pictures of water, and 1 side is a picture of money. If the die lands on a picture of water, you are rewarded with a bucket of water thrown at you by your opponent. If the die lands on a picture of money, you win $3. If the coin lands on tails, you win $2. The game is played until someone wins $3 or more OR you have played 2 rounds, whichever comes first.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

 • if the coin is flipped once, there are two possibilities; is either you get
 • a Head or a Tail and
 • if 3 sides of the die are pictures of water; 3/4
 • and 1 if side is a picture of money = 1/4

a) P(bucket of water thrown at you ) = 1/2 x 3/4 = 3/8

b) If i start the game first, the elements of the space X will be [0, 2, 3 ,4]

c) P(x=5) = P(X=2) + P(X=3)

= 5/8

Consider the following formula used to estimate the height, h, of a seeding after w weeks since planting h=(1/5)w + (8/5)which o
Bogdan [553]

Answer:

w=5h-8

Step-by-step explanation:

Take the original formula h=(1/5)w+(8/5)

Subtract -8/5 on both sides to isolate the w, so h-8/5=(1/5)w

Now you have to get rid of the 1/5, so multiply 5(h-8/5), the 5 in the 8/5 cross each other out. You are left with 5h-8

If Aiden and Natalie each set the arm length of their catapults to 55 centimeters, which statement
Anon25 [30]

If two exact objects are thrown from identical catapults, it is expected the catapult with the longer arm length throws the ball farther.

What factors determine how far an object can reach using a catapult?

Some of the factors that influence the distance in this case are:

 • Force or tension in the catapult.
 • Angle.
 • Arm length.
 • Mass of the object thrown.

How does the arm length affect the distance?

In general, an increased arm length increases the distance. This means that the catapult with a longer arm length will throw the ball farther.

Note: This question is incomplete because there is not enough information about the catapults; due to this, I answered it based on general knowledge.
