The Medieval era or middle ages refers to a historical period between the 5th and the 15th century in which religion and specially Christianism had a major role in Europe, indeed, the Catholic Church was the most powerful institution in the society of the Middle Ages and the beliefs promoted by it expanded to all Europe. On the other hand, Islam extended and became stronger in the Middle Eastin which the religion also have a major role, which led to important wars between Muslims and Christians. Therefore, it is true the church was central to the life of medieval man because it was part of the government and also, the beliefs that derived from it were important for the society during this historical period.
