Janine's example of the origin is correct; however, not all x-coordinates that are <em />0 lie on the x-axis. For example, the coordinate (0,5) describes a point of a plane that is on the Y-axis only, but the x-coordinate is 0. In fact, the only x-coordinate that is 0 and on the x-axis is the origin.
