Body water or body fluid is the liquid present within the body of living organisms. It is primarily divided into two types that is ICF ( intracellular fluid) and ECF (extracellular fluid).

Intracellular fluid accounts for the largest amount of body water. It is the fluid present within the cells of the body that is fluid enclosed by the plasma membrane of the cells is intracellular fluid. It is approximately two third of the total body water.
