the answer is true cause the farmers where beging to go broke so they started to look for joobs at the factorys so they can start making more money,

and there is an organization called the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to help the former enslaved people find jobs so they can start earning a living and the immigrants was looking for a job to start making a living so they can buy a place to live and to buy food for their familys.

I feel like “The voyages were risky, and there was no insurance to cover the risk” is the answer. Investors didn’t want to lose money and the only way that they would somehow break even on the cost would be if the voyage found riches.
