Answer:

Navigation Acts

Explanation:

The Navigation Acts is a series of laws passed by the British Parliament imposing restrictions on colonial trade.

They were designed to make the American colonies dependent on the manufactured products of England. ... Therefore, the British forbade all non-English ships from trading with the colonies. Because ships made in the colonies were considered British, they too were restricted to trade between homeland and mother country.

What gives each state two senators and representatives based on population in each state
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

The Connecticut Compromise.

Explanation:

The Connecticut Compromise was an agreement made during the discussions for the approval of the Constitution in 1787, whereby the most and least populated states of the nation agreed on the way in which to organize the United States Congress without any of the these groups of states have an unfair advantage over the other. Thus, a bicameral Congress was organized, with a chamber organized in an egalitarian manner (the Senate) and another in proportion to the population of each state (the House).

How does John jay expose the hyporcritical nature of slavery in his 1786 quote?
spayn [35]

We perceive that a great breach has been made in the moral and physical systems by the introduction of moral and physical evil; how or why, we know not; so, however, it is, and it certainly seems proper that this breach should be closed and order restored.

That men should pray and fight for their own freedom, and yet keep others in slavery, is certainly acting a very inconsistent, as well as unjust and, perhaps, impious part.

It is much to be wished that slavery may be abolished. The honour of the States, as well as justice and humanity, in my opinion, loudly call upon them to emancipate these unhappy people. To contend for our own liberty, and to deny that blessing to others, involves an inconsistency not to be excused.
