Throughout the story "The First Seven Years" Feld wants Miriam to marry a wealthy man from a higher social class. He believes that doing that Miriam will be happier. However, Feld's epiphany challenges his values when he realizes that his daughter is too young to get married, she is only nineteen years old.
it's harmful to not only individuals, but society as well. it is hard to combat because of how society works. If someone very influential says something ra cist, se xist etc on social media, that can teach many people to think saying things like that is okay. alienating someone from society is incredibly harmful, and it can influence others to do the same.

This means that sometimes, you should trust your emotions rather than your brain. Sometimes, even if something seems logical in the first place, your heart may tell you that it is not right, or that it shouldn't be like that, and it may be the time to choose to follow your heart rather than your logic.
