If the equation has {n^{th}} root, then the simplest form has no factors of n.

Further Explanation:

Explanation:

A expression than contain the {n^{th}} root is known as the radical equation.

The symbol of the radical is \sqrt[n]{x}.

The radicand is a number that is in the radical.

The examples of the radical are as follows,

Consider the expression as \sqrt {36}

The simplest form of the expression is 6.

The radical expression is square root of 36.

The radicand is 36.

Now consider the expression as \sqrt[3]{{27}}.

The simplest form of the expression is 3.

The radical expression is cube root of 27.

The radicand is 27.

If the equation has {n^{th}} root, then the simplest form has no factors of n.

Answer:

" A radical expression is an expression containing a square root "

<u>Radical:</u>  The √ symbol that is used to denote square root or nth roots.

<u>Radicand:</u>  Radicand is a number or expression inside the radical symbol.

WE SAY THAT A SQUARE ROOT RADICAL is simplified, or in its simplest form, when the radicand has no square factors.

A radical is also in simplest form when the radicand is not a fraction.

<em>Example: </em> Simplify radicals \sqrt{75}

<em> Solution: </em> as the radicand i.e. 75 contains a square term since 75=25×3

and we know that 25=(5)^2

Hence we take out the square term out of the radical sign to obtain the simplified expression as:

\sqrt{75}=5\sqrt{3}.

<em>Example: </em> Simplify \sqrt{42}

<em>solution: </em>as the radicand has the factors as:

42=2.3.7; as it is factored to prime numbers and there is no square term hence the given expression is already  simplified.

to find the slope

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

  = (7-4)/(9-3)

3/6

1/2

The slope is 1/2

point slope form

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-4 = 1/2(x-3)

distribute

y-4 = 1/2x -3/2

add 4 to each side

y = 1/2 x -3/2 + 4

y = 1/2 x -3/2 + 8/2

y = 1/2 x + 5/2

this is in slope intercept form

Answer:

OPTION A: 2x + 3y = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The product of slopes of two perpendicular lines is -1.

We rewrite the given equation as follows:

2y = 3x + 2

⇒ y = $ \frac{3}{2}x + 1 $

The general equation of the line is: y = mx + c, where 'm' is the slope of the line.

Here, m = $ \frac{3}{2} $.

Therefore, the slope of the line perpendicular to the line given = $ \frac{-2}{3} $ because $ \frac{3}{2} \times \frac{-2}{3} = -1 $.

To determine the equation of the line passing through the given point and a slope we use the Slope - One - point formula which is:

                                  y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

The point is: (x₁, y₁) = (-2, 3)

Therefore, the equation is:

y - 3 = $ \frac{-2}{3} $(x + 2) $

⇒ 3y - 9 = -2(x + 2)

⇒ 3y - 9 = -2x - 4

⇒ 2x + 3y = 5 is the required equation.
