A systems analyst tests a new algorithm designed to work faster than the currently-used algorithm. Each algorithm is applied to

a group of 72 sample problems. The new algorithm completes the sample problems with a mean time of 24.68 hours. The current algorithm completes the sample problems with a mean time of 27.14 hours. Assume the population standard deviation for the new algorithm is 4.299 hours, while the current algorithm has a population standard deviation of 4.903 hours. Conduct a hypothesis test at the 0.05 level of significance of the claim that the new algorithm has a lower mean completion time than the current algorithm. Let µ1 be the true mean completion time for the new algorithm and µ2 be the true mean completion time for the current algorithm.Step 1 of 4: State the null and alternative hypotheses for the test.Step 2 of 4: Compute the value of the test statistic. Round your answer to two decimal places.Step 3 of 4: Determine the decision rule for rejecting the null hypothesis H0. Round the numerical portion of your answer to three decimal places.Step 4 of 4: Make the decision for the hypothesis test.A. Reject null hypothesisB. Fail to reject null hypothesis

Answer:

Therefore we reject H o at 5% level of significance

Conclusion : Hence , we conclude that the new algorithm has a lower mean completion time than the current algorithm

The support for a window air conditioning unit forms a triangle and an exterior angle. What is the measure
nekit [7.7K]
You have to find first the value of x, which means that you have to add all the interior angles and have the equation equal to 180 like this:

3x+5x-6+90= 180   (remember that the form of the triangle is a right triangle, which means you have a 90 degree angle.)

The value of x is going to be equal to 12. (x=12)

Now, substitute in the given angles
3(12)= 36
5(12)-6= 54

You have to remember that exterior angles also sum up to 180 degrees, and since we already have the value of the exterior angle, 3x, now we are able to know the value of what they are asking you for, which is a simple subtraction 180-36= 144.

Hope it helps! :)

Determine whether the following is an example of a sampling error or a non sampling error. A psychiatrist surveyed 8000 people t
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

The correct answer is - Non sampling error

Step-by-step explanation:

Sampling errors arises when a sample does not represent the whole population.

It is  difference between the real values of the population and the values derived by using samples from the population.

A non-sampling error refers to an error that occurs during data collection, causing the data to differ from the true values.

Non sampling error are of two types , response error and non response error.

In the given question , the error is a response error.

So , it is an example of Non-Sampling error.
