Answer:

Aqua pores

Explanation:

Aquaporin:

Aquaporins are also known as water channels which are an essential part of membrane pore proteins. These are responsible for water transportation across the cell membrane (in and out of the cell) and prevent the ions and other solutes. Aquaporins presence in the cell membrane increase the membrane permeability to water.

Answer:

Aqua pores enhances obligatory water reabsorption.

Explanation:

Water is only reabsorbed by osmosis. There are two types of water reabsorption 1)Obligatory water reabsorption is defined  as " water is “obliged” to follow the solutes being reabsorbed". 2)Facultative water reabsorption – reabsorption of water in the late distal convoluted tubule and

collecting duct under the control of antidiuretic hormone (ADH)

Transpiration is the evaporation process used by plants for cooling and to regulate the amount of water within its body. Factors
Stella [2.4K]

Answer:

Transpiration is the process of water movement in the plant in which water is released from the leaves to the environment in the form of vapours.

The transpiration is important to the plant as:

1. Cooling Effect: Transpiration help lower down the temperature of the plant by evaporating water.

2. The ascent of Sap: leads to the uptake of water in the plant.

3.  Removal of Excess Water: removes extra water from the plant.

4. Maintain turgidity: helps maintain turgidity which leads to maintains shape and structure.

5. Photosynthesis: supplies water for the photosynthesis.

The process also has disadvantages to the plants as:

1.  Wilting: the excess loss of water causes wilting of leaves during noon.

2. Reduced Yield: the wilting reduces the formation of fruits, flowers and seeds.

3. Wastage of Energy: Loss of water leads to the waste of energy which is used in the conduction of water and absorption.

The climate change has changed the ability of the plants to undergo transpiration and plants has adapted to maintain equilibrium by producing hair, thorns, thick cuticle, sunken stomata, cladodes and phylloclades.

Do you think it is safe for animal's genes to be tampered with? What about humans? If
Umnica [9.8K]
I wouldn’t genetically engineer my child as this has a lot of ethical concerns as certain people believe that we are created in the image of God so altering that would be deemed as wrong and sinful. Also this may have later health concerns for the child which hasn’t yet been tested so can not be sure if having designer babies is safe or not.

How do human activities contribute to the water, nitrogen, and carbon cycles?
Lapatulllka [165]
Human activities such as pollution , like trash , or boat oil can effect the waters that house 100 of creature and as for nitrogen cycle things like forest burning and fossil fuel combustion can result in the increased deposition of nitrogen from atmospheric sources

1. In the marine food web shown, which of the
Rudiy27

Answer:

C. Ringed seal

Explanation:

A marine food web illustrates how energy is passed from one organism (level) to another in this aquatic rich ecosystem.

In the following food web, the interaction goes like this:

  1. The Arctic cod feeds on plankton and silverslides and it is preyed upon beluga whales and ringed seals.
  2. The sea duck goes to the bottom of the ocean to feed on benthic organisms and also consumes plankton and silverslides. It doesn't really have predators.
  3. The beluga whale doesn't really have predators, but it feeds on fish such as silverslades and Arctic cod.
  4. Ringed seals feed on plankton and Arctic cod and are then consumed by polar bears.

Therefore, according to this information, all organisms except the ringed seal feed directly on silverslides.
