What is the relationship between place and literature in “Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard” by Thomas Gray and “A Nocturnal

Reverie” by Anne Finch?
A) The peace and solitude found in the settings of the poems gives both speakers time to arrive at deep insights about life.

B) The beauty of natural settings is too distracting for one speaker to come to any profound thoughts about life.

C) The isolation of the countryside is uninspiring and causes both speakers to yearn for the hustle and bustle of urban life.

D) The hurried pace of activity found in the poems prohibits either speaker from contemplating life.

5. How does the poet use personification to describe Chicago?
podryga [215]

Answer:

★ The personification sometimes shifts to making Chicago a specific type of worker, but overall, the poem likens Chicago to a man. The thing to keep in mind is that when the narrator talks about something or someone laughing or having shoulders, the narrator is actually describing Chicago. If you need a good example of the poem's personification, I would look to lines that are found near the end.

Explanation:

Hope you have a great day :)

Read the passage.
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

Shall continue to

Explanation:

The author's claim is that students should have more recess time. That is the point he/she is trying to prove. "Without more recess time" means "if the students don't have more recess time." The answer is not 'will,' because the author is trying to prove that students are already struggling with their problems and won't get better unless they have more recess time. It is not 'might,' because that is still negative for their point that students should have more recess time to not struggle with their problems. It is 'shall continue to' because the author is proving that students are already struggling with problems and will continue to struggle without more recess time.

cupoosta [38]

Answer:

Aphorism

Explanation:

Anagram is a word, phrase, or name formed by rearranging the letters of another. I don't think this is it because they is no words that were rearranged.

Aphorism is a pithy observation that contains a general truth. This could be true!

Analogy is a comparison between two things. This is not it because there are not two things being compared.

Allusion is an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly; an indirect or passing reference. This is not it because this sentence is explicit meaning it is very straight foward.

Out of all four of those... I would go with Aphorism.
