There will be 2 groups, and each group have 6girls and 9 boys.
12 ÷ 2 = 6
18 ÷ 2 = 9

Joseph has started completing the square on the equation 3x^2-7x+12=0. He has worked to the point where he has the expression x^
Dima020 [189]
Starting with <span>3x^2-7x+12=0, we divide all four terms by 3, resulting in the following factored form:
</span><span>
3(</span><span>x^2-[7/3]x+4)=0.
</span><span>
Since 3 cannot equal 0, we can focus on the following:

x^2 - 7/4 x =-4

This completes the assignment (describe Joe's steps up to this point).

If you wish to go further:

Next, take HALF of the coefficient of x and square your result:

(-7/[4][2])^2 = 49/64

Add this to both sides of </span>x^2 - 7/4 x =-4:    <span>x^2 - 7/4x + 49/64 =-4+49/64

Rewrite the left side as (x-7/8)^2 and the right side as 49/64 - 256/64

Simplify the right side by combining these terms:  -207/64

Then x-7/8 = plus or minus (1/8)sqrt(-207)

Next, x = 7/8 plus or minus (1/8)*i*</span>√207, or

          7 plus or minus i*√207
 x = ----------------------------------

Shandra drove 220 miles in 5 hours. if she continued at the same rate, how long would it take to travel 352 miles?
NeTakaya

Answer:

8 Hours

Step-by-step explanation:

We know she travels 220 miles in 5 hours, so lets create an equation with a ratio which finds the miles she drives in a single hour, multiply that by x, and then set it equal to 352.

\frac{220}{5}x=352

Multiply both sides by 5

220x=1760

Divide both sides by 220

x=8

Therefore it would take 8 hours.

andre [41]
X = 213.075
First you have to get rid of the 4 and since it’s multiplying you to the opposite and that’s dividing.
-3.7 divided by 4 = -0.925
X - 214 = -0. 925
Then you add 214 to -0.925 and get 213.075
