When using estimation, we usually will round up or down depending.

162= rounds down to 160

4.75= rounds to 5

160*5= 800

It travels around 800 miles in 5 hours.

I hope this helps!

Answer:

770 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

The world's fastest train travels about 162 miles per hour.

The speed of train = 162 miles/hour

Train travels in 4.75 hour = 162 × 4.75

                                          = 769.5 miles ≈ 770 miles

The train travels almost 770 miles in 4.75 hours.

Leto [7]

Answer:

Look at the equations:

y

=

−

x

−

and

y

=

5

x

+

7

Because both equations equal (y), they both equal the same.

If an equations says "

y

=

−

9

x

−

" , that means we can replace (y) with

−

9

x

−

.

Therefore when i take the equation:

y

=

5

x

+

, we can replace (y) to get:

−

9

x

Now isolate (x):

Tristan is working two summer jobs, making $7 per hour babysitting and $19 per hour lifeguarding. Tristan must earn at least $21
rodikova [14]

Answer: 7bb +19 ll ≥210

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to write an inequality:

The product of the number of hours he works babysitting (bb) and the amount he earns per hour (7); plus The product of the number of hours he works lifeguarding (ll) and the amount he earns per hour 19; must be higher or equal to the amount he must earn this week (210)

Mathematically speaking:

7 bb + 19 ll ≥210

A bee flies at 20 feet per second directly to a flower bed from its hive. The bee stays at the flower bed for 15 minutes, and th
oee [108]

Answer:

a. Speed of flight * ( total spent away from hive - time stayed on flower bed)

b. The flower bed is 2,400 ft from the hive

Step-by-step explanation:

a. Mathematically, the distance will be ;

the speed * time taken

Given that he stays a total of 17 minutes away from the hive and he stayed 15 minutes in the flower bed, the time it used on the flower bed will be 17 minutes - 15 minutes = 2 minutes

So the distance from the flower bed to the hive is;

Speed of flight * ( total spent away from hive - time stayed on flower bed)

b. We want to find the distance of the flower bed from the hive

That will be;

20 ft per second * 2 minutes (120 seconds)

= 20 * 120 = 2,400 ft
