Question 2

Stanley Milligram's experiment is based on the effect of authority in obedience. He posited that obedience is based on the proximity of the victim, the legitimacy of the authority giving the order, the ability to take responsibility by the authority in the case of any harm to the victim and capacity of the authority to punish in the case of disobedience.

He was able to identify special situational determinants of disobedience. He found out that the level of submission/obedience to authority is dependent on the situation at the time. He concluded that people tend to obey authority out of fear and the desire to appear submissive and loyal. The experiment demonstrated people's reluctance in confronting and accusing those who abuse power.

Nana76 [90]

Answer:

Illogical reasoning.

Explanation:

This is an example of illogical reasoning because what your friend told you does not follow logically from the premises or evidence available to her. Given that she scored very highly on the last ten tests, that she has been studying for the exam, and that she feels prepared, her claim that she's going to flunk the upcoming test does not make sense.
