Some religious traditions limit, and sometimes even prevent, interaction between men and women, and this interaction is limited to members of the same family. In such traditions it is immoral for men and women to communicate and even to have some kind of physical contact, which recurs in medical appointments. For this reason, these religious traditions do not allow contact between health professionals and patients of the opposite sex, in which case women can only be met by other women, while men can only be met by other men.
