Answer:

He is a famous Japanese dog who was adopted by Eizaburo Ueno. Everyday Hachiko would see his owner off at the Shibuya train station and pick him up after his owner's work, but one day in the afternoon his owner didn't come back because his owner suddenly died from cerebral hemorrhage. Even after Hachiko was adopted by another person he still waited at the train station everyday for his old owner to come back.
