The contrast the two documents, is that in the document from Ralph Waldo Emerson; it mentions we will work with our own hands and we will speak our own minds. That is entirely different form the other document by An Operative because it describes the workers as slaves. Slaves to a system of, labor which requires them to toil form five until seven o’clock. It seems like the workers didn’t have the right to speak the mind about how harsh their work environments are.
