Governments apply a Minimum Wage policy on Businesses to ensure the employees working for the businesses do not get exploited and get paid fairly. The trade off here is that with the Minimum Wage law in effect the businesses would face an increase in labor costs, since they gotta pay them more than if there was no Minimum Wage law, and businesses would lose out on some profit due to this increase in labor costs. To reduce these costs businesses might let go of some employees, either by firing them or making them redundant (either way the employee is losing the job) and this increases the Unemployment Rate in the country which the government does not like, as one of the government’s aims is to keep the Unemployment Rate low in their country but with their Minimum Wage law in effect they keep the businesses in check to ensure they don’t exploit their workers but they end up increasing the Unemployment Rate due to Businesses trying to retain (get back) some of their lost profit (that they lost due to the government’s Minimum Wage law).

According to our reading, who argues that Free Will is only possible God allows both good and evil to exist. Select one: a. Thom
nika2105 [10]

Answer: Alvin Platinga

Explanation:

Alvin Platinga argues that free will is only possible if God allows both good and evil to happen.

If man can make his or her own choices freely, then those choices cannot be known to God in advance..

If all man's choices are known to an ominiscient God, then those choices have already been made and are not a result of free will.

If a man has free will, then he or she has power over them and therefore God is not omnipotent.

According to this reading, God is either omnipotent and omniscient or there is free will

When a target behavior comes under the restricted control of an irrelevant antecedent stimulus, it is an example of:_______.A) O
Tom [10]

Answer:

B) Faulty stimulus control.

Explanation:

This term is a psychological term which directly explains when a target behaviour is seen to come under the restriction control of certain irrelevant stimulus that are tagged to be antecedent. It sometimes forms a description of situations in which a behavior is triggered by the presence or absence of some stimulus. This is easily seen when a person loves to always eats when watching TV, then (in the operant conditioning use of the term) eating behavior is controlled by the stimulus of watching TV. Also some certain behaviors of lab animals are easily brought under control of such stimuli, and that is where the concept of stimulus control originated. Therefore, in this case, a lot of behavior is controlled by signals, which are antecedents to behavior, not consequences.
