X=8.5 because angle B and angle D are congruent using alternate interior angles theorem. so you would find the measure of B by adding 50+45 to get 95, then subtract 95 from 180 to get 85 degrees for angle B. Now your equation is 10x=85 so if you divide 85/10 you get x=8.5! hope this helped :)
