The force that drives earthquake activity is _____. magnetic force kinetic energy potential energy plate tectonics
larisa86 [58]
The correct answer is plate tectonics. The outermost shell of Earth, called the lithosphere, is partitioned into different tectonic plates (7 or 8 major ones). When a plate breaks along what are called faults, there is a release of energy, which causes seismic waves (the ground shaking). romanna [79]

Answer:

The correct Answer is A) Tropical Cyclones

Explanation:

Tropical cyclones, hurricanes or typhoons form when convection causes warm, moist air above the ocean to rise. They begin as a group of storms when the water gets as hot as 80 °F (27 °C) or hotter. The Coriolis effect made by the Earth's rotation causes the winds to rotate.

The Coriolis effect refers to how a moving object seems to tilt toward the right in the Northern hemisphere and left in the Southern hemisphere. An example of the Coriolis effect is hurricane winds turning left in the Northern hemisphere.

Tropical cyclones can be found in the Atlantic Ocean and northeastern Pacific Ocean, and sometimes in the northwestern Pacific Ocean.
