If we add the two equations we get:
-x - 6y + x - 2y = 10 + (-2)
-8y = 8, therefor y = -1

If y = -1:
-x - 6(-1) = 10
-x + 6 = 10
-x = 4
x = -4

Therefor the solution would be (-4, -1)

The sum of 3 numbers is 131. the second of three numbers is seven more than twice the first. the third number is 12 less than th
arsen [322]
A+b+c = 131

b = 7 + 2a and c = a - 12
 so a + 7+2a + a-12 = 131
then 4a -5 = 131
then 4a = 136
and a = 34....so b= 75 and c = 22....check 34+75+22=131√

If a represent the number of apples purchase at 15 centa each and B represents the number of banana purchase at 10 cents each, w
Vikki [24]
Number of apples purchased = A
Cost of each apple = 15 cents
Then
The total cost of 15 apples = 15A
Number of bananas purchased = B
Cost of each banana = 10 cents
Then
Cost of 10 bananas = 10B
So
The total value of purchase = 15A + 10B
So the correct option among all the options given in the question is option "D",. I hope the procedure is clear enough for you to understand. Using this procedure it will be possible for you to answer similar questions with ease and without requiring any help from outside.
