California has a large East Asian population as a result of the "influx" of immigrants after World War II. The word influx is most appropriate because it refers to an increase in number of size. Therefore, if the population was rising it could not be the departure, selling, or quality of the immigrants, but instead the "influx" that led to this rise in East Asian population.

Why was Justinian furious toward belisarius
Alex Ar [27]
Although Belisarius seems never to have been disloyal, Justinian was always fearful that so popular a commander might attempt to seize the throne, and he was always receptive to slanders circulated by the general's enemies.
