Manorialism was an organizing principle of economy in the rural territories in which economic and legal power was granted to the "Lord of the Manor".

 • The Manor House: Extension of land directly controlled by the Lord of the Manor. It was used for the benefit of him and his inner circle (dependants).
 • The Village: It was the extensions of land granted to the peasants in order for them to live in exchange for the output they generated form their work in the farmlands.
 • The Fields and Farmlands: Land that was subjected to the Lord of the Manor's influence. It was used in order to generate goods that will serve the Manor.

Inside the Manor is a land managed by feudal landlords four areas can be found in it which is the village, farmland, meadow land and wasteland.

The village is the place where the people live. The farmland is the place where the people plant and have livestock for, the meadowland is the place for the animals to graze on grass and the wasteland is the place where they kept all their garbages.
