A background ide of the Crusades to get you to make a journal. The Crusades were wars between Christians and Muslims over control of the Holy Land. They were armies of Christians from Western Europe that follows the order of Pope Urban II to go to war against the Muslim to retake the Holy Land.

Answer:

You can focus your writing into two major points:

  1. Why the crusades were happening, explaining the reasons and possible results;
  2. What were the motivations of those kings and monarchs in these crusades? What did they want?

Explanation:

Now let's understand better:

  1. In the 11th century, Jerusalem was the holy location of the three major faiths: Judaism, Christianism, and Islamic. However, tensions in that region were common since the rise of Islam in the 5th century, and each religion demanded his part of the Holy Land. Here, you have to explain the tensions in that region, what each religion desire and finally, the fall of Jerusalem in the hands of Islam. Another thing you must to consider: the political reasons behind the Pope's decision to send military efforts to Jerusalem. You have to expose the East-West Schism in 1054 and their subsequent consequences.
  2. At this point, you have enough background to explain the reasons why those kings would undertake such war. I think that the better thing you can do here is to explain the closer relationship between the Church and the European monarchies. What Pope promised to those kings in return? Think about it.

Which of the following was not highly respected in spartan society
Licemer1 [7]

Answer: b. Luxuries.

Explanation:

Sparta was a city-state in Greece that was known for its military power, considered the best in Greece. Their power in the land and the naval battle was mythical, and therefore, they had a very favorable position throughout Greece.

Sparta's social system favored military development in all its institutions, from the manufacture of weapons to the military training of children from a very young age. This is why Spartan society was not interested in luxuries, even its women were raised under a society that favored mainly the military power.
