So, this is asking for any number that subtracts to = 16-7

Well, 16-7= 9 so use any two numbers that would subtract to equal 9

Like so:

11-2=9
18-9=9
34-25=9
-2-11=9
Etc....

Hope this helps! :)

the difference between two number is 642 . when the greater is divided by smaller the quotient is 8 and the remainder is 19,then
pentagon [3]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

GIven that ,

Dividend is greater than Divisor by 642.

Therfore , let,

                    Dividend = x + 642.

                    Divisor = x

                    Quotient = 8

                    Remainder = 19.

We know that, Dividend = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder.

Therefore, x+642 + X.8 + 19.

X + 642 = 8X + 19.

642 - 19 = 8X - X

7X = 623

X = 623/7

X = 89.

Therefore, Divisor = 89

                Dividend = X+642=731.

4cos^2(x)-7cos(x)+3<br> Please help and explain how you did it :)
dangina [55]

I assume you're asked to solve

4 cos²(<em>x</em>) - 7 cos(<em>x</em>) + 3 = 0

Factor the left side:

(4 cos(<em>x</em>) - 3) (cos(<em>x</em>) - 1) = 0

Then either

4 cos(<em>x</em>) - 3 = 0   <u>or</u>   cos(<em>x</em>) - 1 = 0

cos(<em>x</em>) = 3/4   <u>or</u>   cos(<em>x</em>) = 1

From the first case, we get

<em>x</em> = cos⁻¹(3/4) + 2<em>nπ</em>  <u>or</u>   <em>x</em> = -cos⁻¹(3/4) + 2<em>nπ</em>

and from the second,

<em>x</em> = <em>nπ</em>

where <em>n</em> is any integer.
