Nephrons are structures that are part of the cortex and the medulla of the kidney. A nephron consists of an intricate epithelial tube that is closed at one end and open at the distal portion. A kidney is made up of numerous nephrons that converge in the collecting ducts, which in turn form the papillary ducts and eventually empty into the renal pelvis.

They have the function of cleaning the blood plasma of waste substances as it passes through the kidneys. Among these substances that must be eliminated are certain terminal products of metabolism, such as urea, creatinine, uric acid and urates, which are expelled through the urine. Nephrons eliminate waste from the body, regulate blood volume and pressure, control electrolyte and metabolite levels, and regulate blood ph.

Name the process that causes water to flow into organisms
Oliga [24]
Osmosis is a passive transport which moves water molecules from higher to lower gradient.
Osmosis then is the movement of water particles from which has water and from which has not and to provide it with the sufficient H2O.

The concentration of salt in water affects the rate of osmosis because it will determine how much water should be transported or excreted or to be taken in. The cellular process is keen to the salt concentration of its system thus making sure to maintain balance between the salt concentration the right amount of water must also be in its area of release for any expected occurences.

A woman treated her home with a pesticide that kills spiders. The first application killed 78% of the spiders. Two months later
WARRIOR [948]
Natural selection. Only spiders that were more resistant to the pesticide lived through the first spraying of the pesticide, thus we're the only ones that could reproduce. This in turn made the offspring of the previous generation more resistant as well; thus making the pesticide less effective.
