x = 6

given

\frac{x+2}{x-2} = \frac{4}{8}

cross- multiply to obtain

8(x + 2) = 4(x - 2) ( distribute parenthesis on both sides )

8x + 16 = 4x - 8 ( subtract 4x from both sides )

4x + 16 = - 8 ( subtract 16 from both sides )

4x = - 24 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = \frac{-24}{4} = - 6

Hello there!

<u><em>Answer: ⇒ x=-6</em></u>

_________________________________________________________

Step-by-step explanation:

Apply fraction cross multiply.

(x+2)*8=(x-2)*4

Expand.

8x+16=4x-8

Subtract by 16 from both sides of equation.

8x+16-16=4x-8-16

Simplify.

8x=4x-24

Subtract by 4x from both sides of equation.

8x-4x=4x-24-4x

Simplify.

4x=-24

Divide by 4 from both sides of equation.

\frac{4x}{4}=\frac{-24}{4}

Simplify it should be correct answer.

x=-6

Romashka-Z-Leto [24]
The answer is D thirteen multiplied by h is 13h. The word "is" typically means = so 13h=104. to solve for this you want to isolate the h on one side of the equation. to do this we need to get rid of the 13 and move it on the other side of the equation. the new equation is h=104÷13. So, h=8.
