Hey!

The water that makes up icebergs, Antarctica, and such... is water that has stayed in the same place for 100s of thousands of years. Now this water froze and stayed at that height, because the water was at that level before (long ago), you have to remember that at one point in time, it is believed that the Earth was covered only with water, and had no land, besides for the bottom of the water.
Now the water that makes up the surrounding ocean, is water that never froze, and is constantly renewed. Plus it never has the time to freeze, so it cant stay at the specific level. Additionally, the water that makes up the surrounding ocean, is constantly going under water evaporation, and precipitation... Plus the water from those oceans are salty, meaning they can't freeze, and if you cant freeze, you can only melt... so any water from the ocean that freezes, only melts in return...

Answer:
B
Explanation:
The theory of tectonic plates explains that large convectional currents occuring in the mantle(as a result of magma) are the reasons plates, and so continents, are moved. Note movement occurs in the boundary in between the plates.Hope this helps.
Answer:
D. The difference between high and low tide would not change.
Explanation:
- As the moon takes an elliptical round around the earth. The distance between them varies for about 31,000 miles over a course of one month. The closer the moon is the higher will be the tides.
- The sun is also responsible for the generation of the high tides on earth. Such as that on 3rd Jan.
- As said the distance of the moon is approx 384,000 km and will be increased to 500,000 km. This will not impact much of the rate of tidal generation.
