A. Fossils in upper layers were younger than fossils in lower layers.
B. Fossils in upper layers were less weathered and more detailed than those in lower layers.

The correct answer is - A. Fossils in upper layers were younger than fossils in lower layers.

The scientists managed to determine that the rock layers of the mountains and the canyons are arranged by time, and that they are a nice representation of the geological past. Because the scientists proposed this, that also means that the rock layers are undisturbed by geological process, thus they are arranged by age, one over the other, with the oldest being at the bottom, and the youngest at the top.

When it comes to the fossils, this meant that now the scientists can now the approximate age of the fossils, depending on the layer in which the fossils are found. So the closer they are found to the surface, the younger they are, and the deeper they found, the older they, the same as the rock layers.

Map is basically, a visual representation of an area showing physical features such as roads, rail, land-forms etc.

There are several type of Map and these includes:

  • Political Map
  • Physical Map.
  • Topographic Map.
  • Climatic Map.
  • Economic or Resource Map
  • Road Map. ...

Now, for this structure and for the fact that the we need to see the land-forms in the photo, a physical map is the best map to use.

The Physical maps shows features such like building, rivers, mountains, lakes and so on in a particular area.

The primary reason native peoples in california remained hunters and gatherers for hundreds of years after europeans arrived in
andrew11 [14]

The primary reason for why native peoples in california remained hunters and gatherers for hundreds of years after europeans arrived in the western hemisphere was because  Both land and ocean provided an abundant food supply and resources.

human evolution is the process where humanbeing evolve according to the needs , so when there will be plenty of natural resources , then their basic needs get fulfilled by existing natural resources so they never tried to evolve themselves.

paleo-indians were living in an isolated continent , there was no fear of military attack , food scarcity, population migration , etc and there was no need for agriculture because they can get food from forest, river, ocean, etc. and their demand gets fulfilled by available natural resources , so they never tried to expand their research and never tried to adopt alien culture.

so even after hundred years of European arrival the native people of california remained hunter and gatherer.

Quartzite can be confused with basalt. What do they have in common? How would you distinguish between the two?
Furkat [3]

Answer:

The two rock can be confused with each other as both appear rough to touch and both are found in shades of black & brown and dark themes, also shades of grey sometimes prevail.

They differ in the mode of formation as Quartzite is Metamorphic Rock while Basalt is the Igneous rock formed from the Volcanoes

Explanation:

The two rock can be confused with each other as both appear rough to touch and both are found in shades of black & brown and dark themes, also shades of grey sometimes prevail. They do have similarities in the hardness on some scale as Quartzite is hard while basalt is intermediate in hardness.

Major difference between them are:

They differ in the mode of formation as Quartzite is Metamorphic Rock while Basalt is the Igneous rock formed from the Volcanoes. Quartzite have medium grain size and foliated, granular structure while Basalt is fine grained and glassy in texture.
