There are three hallways at Wilson Middle School, as represented in the coordinate plane below. Four points are plotted on the c

oordinate plane to represent the end of each hallway.
Clockwise from the top left, the points reed, A, negative 20, 60, D, 50, 75, C, 50, negative 25, B, negative 20, negative 25.

Part A
Each unit represents $1$ meter. What is the total length of the three hallways? Show or explain your work.

Respond in the space provided.

Question 2
Part B

The total length is 226.59 units. The flagpole is at (78,75)

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the distance between two points given the coordinates apply the formula for distance as;

d=\sqrt{(y_2-y_1)^2+ (x_2-x_1)^2}

For segment ;

AB, A(-20,60) and B(-20,-25)

d=\sqrt{(-25-60)^2} \\\\d=\sqrt{(-85)^2} \\\\d=85

For segment AD

A(-20,60) and D(50,75)

d=\sqrt{(75-60)^2+(50--20)^2} \\\\d=\sqrt{(15)^2+(70)^2} \\\\d=\sqrt{5125} \\\\d=71.59

For segment

BC

B(-20,-25) and C(50,-25)

d=\sqrt{(50--20)^2} \\\\d=\sqrt{70^2} \\\\d=70

Total length of the three hallways is 85+71.59+70 =226.59 units

PART B

The flagpole is 28 meters to the right of point D

Point D(50,75)

Flagpole will be (50+28,75), = (78,75)

The following data shows the number of stage shows 20 students of a class watched in a month:
Ket [755]

The histogram that represents this data would be the histogram shown in the image below.

<h3>What is a Histogram?</h3>

In a histogram, bars or bins show the frequency of a range of data points in a data distribution.

Given the data set, 1, 7, 4, 4, 3, 2, 7, 8, 1, 19, 20, 22, 20, 19, 16, 16, 19, 13, 1, 13, the groups and frequency for the data distribution would be:

0 - 5: 7

6 - 11: 3

12 - 17: 4

18 - 23: 6

Therefore, the histogram that represents this data would be the histogram shown in the image below.
