The 6 centuries between the 400 and the 1000 years are known as the anglo-saxon era, in the English History, and they happen right after the fall of the Roman Empire and their territories in Britain are left unprotected, after this the settlers did little to nothing to keep the old roman traditions, buiding their own cities and constructions and speaking their own language, having so many little kingdoms and cities those years were marked by conflict between the inner kingdoms and outer conquerors.
