Law of sines: How many distinct triangles can be formed for which m∠A = 75°, a = 2, and b = 3? No triangles can be formed. One t

riangle can be formed where angle B is about 15°. One triangle can be formed where angle B is about 40°. Two triangles can be formed where angle B is 40° or 140°.

We have been given angle A as 75 degrees and sides a = 2 and b = 3.

Using Sine rule, we can set up:

\frac{Sin(A)}{a}=\frac{Sin(B)}{b}

Upon substituting the given values of angle A, and sides a and b, we get:

\frac{Sin(75)}{2}=\frac{Sin(B)}{3}

Upon solving this equation for B, we get:

\Rightarrow 3Sin(75)=2Sin(B)\\  \Rightarrow Sin(B)=\frac{3Sin(75)}{2}\\  \Rightarrow Sin(B)=1.4488\\

Since we know that value of Sine cannot be more than 1. Hence there are no values possible for B.

Hence, the triangle is not possible. Therefore, first choice is correct.

What does "What scale would be appropriate to graph the data?" mean?
shusha [124]

I think it means which graph is the best at representing the data or data set.

For example if you were to graph the population of an animal you would use a line graph to represent the data

If you were determining how much percentage you would get  a job you would use a pie graph. Etc

The time t required to drive a certain distance varies inversely with the speed r. If it takes 12 hours to drive the distance at
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

8.47 Hours

Step-by-step explanation:

The total distance covered in 12 hours with a speed of 60 mph

Distance = 12 x 60 = 720 miles

Now we are required to find the time taken if the same distance is travelled with a speed of 85 mph

Time = 8.47 hours

What is the value of 6x squared+ 4x + 8 when x=7? Please answer this I really need help!
stealth61 [152]
Let’s write it simply, that helps us solve it easier.
6x^2+4x+8
Now, insert 7 in place of x.
6(7)^2+4(7)+8
Now, multiply.
42^2+28+8
Solve for exponents.
1,764+28+8
Add.
1,792+8
1,800
Hope this helps!
