dimulka [17.4K]

Answer:

I believe the answer is A. soliloquy.

Explanation:

A soliloquy is an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers, especially by a character in a play. Linda says, "Help me, Willy, I can’t cry. It seems to me that you’re just on another trip. I keep expecting you. Willy, dear, I can’t cry. Why did you do it? I search and search and I search, and I can’t understand it, Willy. I made the last payment on the house today. Today, dear. And there’ll be nobody home." Her husband, Willy has died, but she is still speaking her thoughts out loud to him.

qwelly [4]

Sagacious, it could be defined as having or showing keen mental discernment and good judgment, shrewd is a synonym of what this word can be used as. Some other synonyms would be discerning, insightful, perceptive, prudent, sage, sapient, wise. Also, it can describe people or in this case animals, therefore the best option to choose would be “WISE”.

ANEK [815]

Answer:

Choice C, Simple.

Explanation:

(sentence: Aliza found fragments of ancient pottery)

There are three tenses in english. There's Past, present, and future.

These show something being at a certain point in time, like,

"I was eating that in 1987 but then you stole it and fed it to the dog"

However, these can't always be clear as to a very specific point in time, like,

"I was eating that, until you stole it and fed it to the dog."

So, it's a simple verb, because it shows an action, but it isn't pinpointing a specific moment in time.

What effects does the foreshadowing in fair Laurence’s warning to Romeo have
saw5 [17]
These violent delights have violent ends,/ And in their triumph die, like fire and powder/ Which as they kiss consume." He foreshadows the death of Romeo and Juliet.
Friar Laurence tells Romeo that he should go slow, because those that run stumble. He says that Juliet and him should go slow, because they fell for each other so fast, they ought to run into a problem.. and they did.
Early on, before the Friar actually marries Romeo and Juliet, Romeo has to ask Friar Laurence to merry them. Friar Laurence warns him (I have no direct quote) that those who run too quickly trip and fall, or something along those lines. He means not to act too quickly- they had only just met- and doing so may result in disaster, which, sadly, it does.
