Answer:

It is important because it the only true conversation he had with his father.

Explanation:

In "Notes of a Native Son," we learn that the writer's relationship with his father was a difficult and turbulent one. He did not feel supported by his father, nor did he think that they shared any valuable relationship or connection. However, this example is an important one because this was the only "true" conversation that the author had with his father.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP MEEEE?
Nuetrik [128]

Answer:

D. Jonas raises an army to violently overthrow the industry leaders.

Explanation:

A contrived ending to the story is one created in a way that seems artificial and unrealistic. The most contrived ending would be the one where Jonas raises an army to violently overthrow the industry leaders.

The rest of the options seem more or less possible. Jonas' supporters could turn their back on him, the industry leaders' plan could backfire, or they could ruin Jonas' reputation. These endings would seem believable. However, it would be impossible for Jonas to raise an army. An individual wouldn't be able to do that in real life, which is why this type of ending wouldn't make sense.

When are in-text citations used in academic writing?
hammer [34]

you have too sight the last name of the author and  the page number whether it is a quote or paraphrased. the only time you don't have to is if you include it in the sentence.

Example for when you don't have to cite in text:

On page 13 Martin says, "blah blah bah bluh bleh blah"

... otherwise just put the citation in parentheses after the quote/paraphrase like so: (Martin,13)
