In the sentence that goes "The old brick house that sits on top of the hill was built during the Civil War", the adjective clause would be "that sits on top of the hill".

Adjective clauses function as adjectives to the subject which gives more detail on what the sentence is talking about. Sometimes it can be found in the beginning, or in the end of the sentence, but usually is it found in the middle of the subject and the predicate which is more convenient for writers and readers. In this case, the identified adjective clause which is "that sits on top of the hill" talks more about the old brick house and answers the question which one.

How have women's roles changed in the past fifty years? are women equal to men? do women have the same opportunities as men? in
Sati [7]

Women's roles changed in the past fifty years as women got many rights now from which they were deprived earlier.

However, if we say that women are equal to men then, it will not be true as  currently, women only enjoy 75% of the legal rights that men do. In 1970, it was less than half. Men are more privileged and possess more power and benefits than women do.

Today's women have it better, but they are still not on an equal footing with men. Women do not have same opportunities as men because of the discrimination of the patriarchal society.
