Answer:

John Muir's "Save The Redwoods" presents facts and evidence to convince readers to rescue the Sequoia.

Explanation:

Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring" is a sort of environmental science book where the author fictionalized her stories around the issue of the destruction of the whole environment. She focuses on the indiscriminate use of the pesticides by humans which led to the destruction of the environment as a whole.

On the other hand, John Muir's "Save The Redwoords" focuses on a single species of the environment that he wants saved, the Sequoia plant. His focus is on a certain part of the environment, providing facts and evidences to try to lay emphasis on the importance of the plant and why they need to be saved.

LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

The last person who climbed Diablo Peak without the help of a guide is now a dry old skeleton at the bottom of Pike's Bluff.

Explanation:

The first part starts with a capital letter so you know that it is "The last person who . . ." The next part needs to be how the object (the last person) did the task (climbing). That makes it "without the help . . ." Next you need to know what happened to them. That makes it "is now," and "a dry old skeleton. . ." The last part is where the skeleton is. That leaves " of Pike's Bluff."

Hope this helped :)

Read this excerpt from Beowulf, in which Unferth, one of Hrothgar's warriors, addresses Beowulf.
nasty-shy [4]
Vehement. It's not ironic because it's straightforward. It's not casual because toiling for a week isn't something one is casual about. It's not insulting of the line "In strength excelled thee". Therefore, vehement is left, and the passion is evident throughout the text.
