South Americans use an amulet or talisman to ward off the evil eye...

Belief in the evil eye dates back to Classical antiquity. Peter Walcot's Envy and the Greeks (1978) listed more than one hundred works by these and other authors mentioning the evil eye. The evil eye has been deeply rooted in Spanish popular culture throughout its history and Spain is the origin of this superstition in Latin America. In South America to give someone the eye can be an involuntary act. It can be done just by looking or admiring babies, animals or inanimate objects, causing illness, pain and sometimes death on babies and animals. The best way to ward off the evil eye is via amulets and talismans. They vary from country to country but they can be specific stones, jewelry, particular plants, many times toxic.

How did the institution of slavery change in the course of the triangle trade and colonialism?
Shalnov [3]

Answer:

The Slavs have all been manufactured from Africa rather than just South America.  A further explanation is given below.

Explanation:

  • Ships sail from Liverpool but instead Bristol, United Kingdom, loaded with the most created to enhance throughout Africa, including certain pots, trousers, firearms, and white wine. Because once ships approach Africa, this same commander would then sell those other goods to street vendors, as well as the boats have been reconfigured to take some 400 slave owners.
  • Throughout the West Indies, people were brought and indeed the ship was stacked with goods including certain tobacco, sucrose but mostly cotton. Then perhaps the boat sailed back to England through its penultimate corner.

Furthermore, the triangular commerce or perhaps the triangle of exports is completed.

Why do you think people try to predict the future? What skills might enable someone to make an accurate prediction?
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

Being able to predict the future will allow you to have complete control over everything that happens. This will make everything easy and you will without a doubt have no questions that couldn't be answered. The best way to predict the future is to create it. This quote is credited to both Abraham Lincoln and Peter Druker, two people known for their wod of wisdom and lessons to live by. As far as "skills", well

1. Know all the facts: analysis starts with data. Before you start anything, you need to gather as much data as possible.

2. Live and breath your own space: Understanding your market is just as important. Talk to the people who are smarter than you, embedded in the space, and learn from them. This creates a virtuous circle: talking to smarter people makes you smarter, which makes smart people want to talk to you.

3. Look at things from a different angle: Every once in awhile, you have to put yourself in a frame of mind where you're looking at the situation from a new angle, and realizing that by only focusing on your area of expertise you will miss things.
