aiah means the Lord is Salvation. He was son of Amoz. He was a high ranking citizen with access to the royal court. Isaiah prophecy was during the reign of Uzziah (good), Jothan (good), Ahaz (bad), and Hezzekiah (good) to the Southern Kingdom.
