Answer:

The collapse of the Soviet Union made the United States to became the sole superpower in the world.

Explanation:

Between 1945 and 1989, the Cold War divided the world into two hemispheres of influence, the United States and its capitalist allies; and the Soviet Union, which led the communist faction. These two countries were considered as the superpowers of that time, exerting total influence over the vast majority of relevant international decisions.

After the Soviet Union disintegrated in the early 1990s, the United States of America consolidated itself as the only remaining superpower of the Cold War, thus moving from a bipolar world, with two antagonistic systems, to a unipolar world, with a single superpower, and several minor powers with social and economic systems similar to capitalism defended by the United States.

Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

Hillary Clinton surpassed Donald Trump by more than 2 million votes, but lost the electoral college 306 to 232. In raw votes, it was the largest popular-vote lead in history for a candidate who lost the election. The nature of the results has again stirred up debate about the merits of using the electoral college system.

What significance did the city of makkah have to early muslims
True [87]

As the birthplace of Muhammad and the site of Muhammad's first revelation of the Quran(specifically, a cave 3 km (2 mi) from Mecca),Mecca is regarded as the holiest city in the religionof Islamand a pilgrimage to it known as the Hajjis obligatory for all able Muslims. Mecca is home to the Kaaba, by majority description Islam's holiest site, as well as being the direction of Muslim prayer. Mecca was long ruled by Muhammad's descendants, the sharifs, acting either as independent rulers or as vassals to larger polities. It was conquered by Ibn Saud in 1925. In its modern period, Mecca has seen tremendous expansion in size and infrastructure, home to structures such as the Abraj Al Bait, also known as the Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel, the world's fourth tallest building and the building with the third largest amount of floor area. During this expansion, Mecca has lost some historical structures and archaeological sites, such as the Ajyad Fortress.

Today, more than 15 million Muslims visit Mecca annually, including several million during the few days of the Hajj.As a result, Mecca has become one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the Muslim world,

even though non-Muslims are prohibited from entering the city.
