Yes the given statement is True.

There is a large transportation network in order to get from the point of manufacturing to the point of sale.

Explanation:

When a product is manufactured at the factory or any manufacturing facility, The final good is needed to be transported to the point of sale so that they reach the customers eventually. There is a large network of transportation which may include vans, trucks, railroads, etc, which deliver the product from manufacturing facility to the point of sale.

For example there is a company which makes soft drinks. So they have a large network of transportation to deliver their soft drinks to different point of sales like retailers, general stores, super stores, malls, shops, etc. They usually us vans, loaders, small trucks to transport the product within and near areas of the city.

Similarly, if some companies purify oil and transport it to the point of sale like petrol stations, etc, then they also use their big network of transportation to deliver the product through oil tankers.

There are some other products like cotton, fabrics, etc which need to be transported to other cities as well, so railroads are also used as a mean of transportation to make them reach to the point of sale.

This could take years to reach or it could possibly take decades to be able to manifest except if some events happens with will help to reset the population and food balance. Example of such event could be global war, massive famine or a global pestilence which all would help in wiping out great number of the population.

Explanation:

The Malthusian Trap is the theory that, as population growth is ahead of agricultural growth, there must be a stage at which the food supply is inadequate for feeding the population.
