How do somatic and inherited mutations differ?

Biology

Answer:

The main difference between somatic mutations and inherited mutations is that inherited mutations exits in all cells in the body and somatic mutations only exits in the cell type that mutated.

Explanation:

Inherited mutations are present from birth, come from a parent, are irreversible and can affect all cells of the body. They are called "hereditary" because, being present in a gamete, they are transferred to the offspring.

Somatic mutations are acquired in already developed organisms and can appear at any time due to multiple factors. As a consequence of this, a single cell line is affected, either by defects in cell division or by influence of environmental factors. These mutations do not pass from parents to children.

Naming ionic compounds with transition metals isn't too hard either. They arenamed like the binary compounds, with the cation first, then the anion with -ide added to it, but you have to take into account the variations of the metal ions. You do this by adding Roman numerals in parenthesis to the cation.
