What is the difference between effect and affect? pls provide with some good examples as well:)

Answer:

effect: the outcome of something

affect: influenced something

Explanation:

so basically effect is like if somebody had a bowl of chocolate and they spilled it on the ground.. the effect would be that the chocolate is now on the dirty floor.

affect is like if you were to make somebody sad or made it would affect their emotions

Affect is usually a verb, and it means to impact or change. Effect is usually a noun, an effect is the result of a change.

If I like it: Yes, I like this poem. It seems/feels so intimate, yet somehow I feel connected to the character.
What emotions are there:I believe the emotions a reader would feel would be sorrow, pity, despair, grief, and helplessness because he/she has no power to help the abused.
What I would add to make it better: I probably wouldn't, perhaps start posting it publicly to sites like 'Wattpad', to get a wider perspective from public comments.
