Match the developments related to the Mexican-American War with the nation responsible for them.
Musya8 [376]

Answer:

1. Made Texas a state in 1845: United States

2. Outlawed slavery by 1836: Mexico

3. Threatened war to reclaim Texas: United States

4. Offered to buy the Southwest: United States

5. Claimed the boundary 100 miles north of Rio Grande: Mexico

6. Allowed slavery in some states: Mexico

7. Ceded the Southwest after losing the war: Mexico

8. Claimed the boundary at Rio Grande: United States

9. Supported the Bear Flag Revolt: United States

Explanation:

The war between Mexico and the United States of America, also known as the First American Intervention in Mexico, which took place between 1846 and 1848, had as a consequence for Mexico the loss of approximately 2,378,540 square km of territory, and for the United States the annex of these lands.

Since the colonial era, the United States' claimed to acquire Alta California, New Mexico and Texas, was evident by sending various representatives of the US government to negotiate the borders with New Spain, in addition to trying to buy the territories before mentioned.

Were medieval manors nearly self sufficient
lina2011 [118]
This mostly depended on the fertility of the soil nearby the manor, the amount of serfs a lord had and the trade that he had set up with other manors. The reason for this is that if a manor had fertile soil, the lord had set up ample trade between manors, and therewere enough serfs to work on the land, they were pretty much self-suficient. However, if these things were lacking, then self-sufficiency was not necessarily achieved.
