The Jim crow laws, entrenched segregation.Supreme Court allowed legal segregation - invalidated Civil Rights Act, Sapless vs. Ferguson and separate but equal doctrine. this made some early activist like Booker T Washington to urge black Americans to accept segregation. The year after 1877, is important because it marked the end of reconstruction, after the compromise, when southern states were granted rights to deal with african Americans the way they desired.

How did rising interest rates affect americans
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer:

❤️Higher interest rates increase the cost of borrowing, reduce disposable income and therefore limit the growth in consumer spending. Higher interest rates tend to reduce inflationary pressures and cause an appreciation in the exchange rate.❤️

Explanation:

-With higher interest rates, interest payments on credit cards and loans are more expensive.

-Increase in mortgage interest payments.

-Increased incentive to save rather than spend. Higher interest rates make it more attractive to save in a deposit account because of the interest gained.

-Rising interest rates affect both consumers and firms. Therefore the economy is likely to experience falls in consumption and investment.

-Reduced confidence. Interest rates affect consumer and business confidence. A rise in interest rates discourages investment; it makes firms and consumers less willing to take out risky investments and purchases.

3. How can we evaluate Primary sources?
ella [17]
We can evaluate primary sources by checking to see who created the item, what time period it was created in as well as looking for any footnotes or a sort of documentation to prove that the item truly is a primary source.

A good example of a primary source is Anne Frank’s diary because she personally wrote the diary during the holocaust while she was in hiding.
