sergeinik [125]
If what I’m imagining is correct, the you have a rectangle with two of the sides being the same length they were when it was a square. But the other two are half as much as the original. Because there are two half’s you can add them to make one whole (one original side length). Divide 21 by 3 to find out the side length, because it’s a square they’re all going to be the same. Now you know that the length off all the sides of the square are 7. To find the area just multiply length times width (7x7), and get 49 square inches as the answer

Why was American society given the label the Gilded Age in the 1880s/1890s?
alexandr1967 [171]
The term Gilded Age actually comes from the novel written by the great Mark Twain. He used this title to indicate something marvelous, shining and glittering on the surface but corrupted from the inside. The Gilded Age was a period of great advancements and of a major economic boom but that was all fueled by big corporations with shady practices who mistreated their workers and political corruption.

Civilizations — including the one you live in — still control their environments today. In one or two paragraphs, describe one w
AveGali [126]
The U.S. helps control the environment with laws. For example starting in the 1960s everyone became concerned about the impact industrial growth had on the environment. Things like Engine exhaust were blamed for air pollution in bigger cities. New laws like the 1963 Clean Air Act and the 1974 Safe Drinking Water Act were passed to help the ecosystem. Without these laws today’s environment could be terrible. Although it’s not the greatest these laws do help us go outside without breathing in very harmful air. This relate to ways early civilization controlled their environment because they created laws too. In some early civilization the government was in charge of things like what and where to farm, build, etc were controlled by the government. I hope this is somewhat what your looking for and it helps you at least. Have a good day!
