Answer:

B, buying a new pair of shoes because your favorite sports player wears them.

Explanation:

Extrinsic motivation is reward-driven. It is a type of behavior where incentives like money, fame or praise are used as motivation to do a specific action or activity.

In the example above, the need to buy a new pair of shoes stems from the desire to have something your favorite sports player also has. This is an example of extrinsic motivation because the reason for buying the shoes is external ( to copy somebody famous ).

If the reason for buying them was the need to have something comfortable to walk in, the motivation would have been intrinsic - coming from internal motivation.

Which ethnic group of people did the leaders of the Ottoman Empire decide to target in an act of Genocide?
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

The Armenians

Explanation:

During the time when the Ottoman Empire was embroiled in World War I, a war which they lost and eventually caused the dissolution of the empire, the Ottoman authorities decided to target the Armenian population for genocide.

The Armenians inhabited not only what is now the country of Armenia, but also several other areas in the Caucasus region, and in Eastern Anatolia. They were targeted due to centuries of ethnic and religious hate (Armenians are orthodox Christians), and they were also blamed for the ills of the Empire in the war.

In total, around 2 million Armenians perished in the genocide.

How were slaves different from free african americans
tester [92]

Free blacks in the antebellum period—those years from the formation of the Union until the Civil War—were quite outspoken about the injustice of slavery. Their ability to express themselves, however, was determined by whether they lived in the North or the South. Free Southern blacks continued to live under the shadow of slavery, unable to travel or assemble as freely as those in the North. It was also more difficult for them to organize and sustain churches, schools, or fraternal orders such as the Masons.

Although their lives were circumscribed by numerous discriminatory laws even in the colonial period, freed African Americans, especially in the North, were active participants in American society. Black men enlisted as soldiers and fought in the American Revolution and the War of 1812. Some owned land, homes, businesses, and paid taxes. In some Northern cities, for brief periods of time, black property owners voted. A very small number of free blacks owned slaves. The slaves that most free blacks purchased were relatives whom they later manumitted. A few free blacks also owned slave holding plantations in Louisiana, Virginia, and South Carolina.

Free African American Christians founded their own churches which became the hub of the economic, social, and intellectual lives of blacks in many areas of the fledgling nation. Blacks were also outspoken in print. Freedom's Journal, the first black-owned newspaper
