Hypothetical question: You are a student who sits during gym and reads or does homework, you keep to yourself you don’t talk to

anyone during that hour unless the coach says hello to you. You are shy, quiet, and studious. One day during gym a friend of yours asks you to play a school version of hockey with them, you figure the unit is going to end soon, so you join him/her in a few games. You are terrible at hockey and you are basically a wasted space on the court, but your friend is happy you are playing with them. You are failing miserably at the sport and you just happen to be playing with the gym coach on your team. The coach gives you and your teammates comments of encouragement and you enjoy them, but you know that she/him is just saying them to boost your self confidence. You know you made a fool of yourself. How do you feel like it was less of a fail, or be less embarrassed of yourself? Thank you to anyone who answers!!!

Sometimes people don't say things just to boost your confidence. Some people like the fact that you tried something new and try to include others to make them feel comfortable. They included you in the game because they didn't want you sitting alone and being by yourself. They wanted to include you in the game and for you to have some fun. Don't look at the situation as you looked foolish, look at the situation as you got to try something new, and may have made some new friends at the same time. The coach may want to include you in more activities later on knowing you at least tried this one. Good luck.

Sediment pollution can influence waterways by___________.I. increasing the turbidity and cloudiness of the water.II. reducing su
tester [92]

Answer:

The answer is: option I, II and III (i.e I. increasing the turbidity and cloudiness of the water.II. reducing sunlight penetration and thereby decreasing productivity of aquatic plants. and, III. clogging gills of fish and bottom dwellers.

Explanation:

Activities such as road construction, building construction, logging, remove the protective vegetative covering from soils. As a natural part of the ecosystem, and, formed by the most common mineral that is found on or near the surface of the Earth, Sediments classified by origin are of four types: cosmogenous, hydrogenous, lithogenous and biogenous. Sediment is fine-grained particles like silt and clay that is broken down by processes of weathering and erosion. Wind, force of gravity acting on the particles, water and ice help carry these particles to rivers, lakes and streams.

Sediment increases the potential for flooding. Loose sediments are washed into the streams with surface water runoff during rain storms

Some of the ways sediment pollution affects the waterways is by:

  • Making the water cloudy, thereby preventing visibility in water. Even, animals in the water are prevented from seeing food.
  • Sediment can clog fish gills, affecting fish egg and larvae development.
  • High levels of turbidity limit penetration of sunlight into the water, thereby depriving the aquatic plants from sunlight needed for optimum productivity.

Corey steps on a tack that pierces the skin of his foot. In what order would the tack go through the layers of the skin? first t
marishachu [46]

Answer:

First the epidermis, then the dermis, and then the hypodermis

Explanation:

The skin has three layers, which are:

(1) The epidermis (the outer layer, which we see)

(2) Followed by the dermis, which is immediately below the epidermis.

(3) Lastly the hypodermis, the innermost layer.

When Corey steps on the tack, the tack will pierce through his foot from the outermost to the innermost layer i.e. in (1), (2) and (3) order.

Hence: (d) is correct.
