Lets assume a polynomial

5zx^2 + 25zx +30z

Here GCF is 5z

all terms are divisible by 5z. so greatest common factor is 5z

5zx^2 + 25zx +30z

One form of polynomial is 5z (x^2 + 5x +6)

We factor the polynomial further

Other form of polynomial is 5z(x+3)(x+2)

5z (x^2 + 5x +6)  and 5z(x+3)(x+2) are the two forms of polynomial 5zx^2 + 25zx +30z

First form 5z (x^2 + 5x +6)  is created by taking out GCF 5z

SEcond form 5z(x+3)(x+2)  is created by factoring x^2 + 5x + 6

An element with mass 570 grams decays by 18% per minute. How much of the element is remaining after 13 minutes,to the nearest 10
miskamm [114]

Answer:

43.2 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

A = P (1 + r)^t

where A is the final amount,

P is the initial amount,

r is the rate of growth or decay,

and t is time.

Given:

P = 570

r = -0.18

t = 13

A = 570 (1 − 0.18)^13

A = 43.2

. What would be the new coordinates if (-2,-4) is translated 5 units up and<br> 7 units to the left.
wel

Answer:

(-9, 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

translating UP is to increase on the y axis, so -4+5=1

translating to the LEFT is to subtract on the x axis so-2-7=-9

Which of the following pairs of events are mutually exclusive? Rolling a die; A={Rolling an even number}, B={Rolling a number gr
choli [55]

Answer:

Tossing a coin twice; A ={no Heads}, B={at least 1 Head}

Step-by-step explanation:

Mutually exclusive:

If two events are mutually exclusive, if one events happen, the other cannot happen, and vice-versa.

Rolling a die; A={Rolling an even number}, B={Rolling a number greater than 4}

A die has the following outcomes: 1,2,3,4,5,6

Even numbers: 2,4,6

Greater than 4: 5, 6

6 is an outcome of both events A and B, so they are not mutually exclusive.

Picking a card; A= {Selecting a 7}, B={Selecting a Heart}

Cards numbered from 1 to 13, each number with 4 types. So we can have a card of hearts numbered 7, which means that these events are not mutually exclusive.

Tossing a coin twice; A ={no Heads}, B={at least 1 Head}

If you get no heads, the probability of at least 1 head is 0.

If you get at least 1 head, the probability of no heads is 0.

This means that this is the answer, that is, these events are mutually exclusive.

Rolling two 6-sided dice; A={rolling a sum of 4}, B={rolling a 3 on one die}

(3,1) or (1,3) has a sum of 4 and a 3 on one die, which means that these events are not mutually exclusive.
