A compound sentence is formed A.) By joining two simple sentences with a comma and a coordinate conjunction.

The coordinate conjunctions are: For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, and So

Example of a compound sentence.
1st Sentence. I love to read a novel.
2nd Sentence. I like to watch a movie.

Compound sentence: I love to read a novel, and I like to watch a movie.
