Samuel Sewall's essay condemns the practice of slavery. It includes legal, political and even biblical references to the issue of slavery and arguments about it. This condemnation of the slave trade in North America presents arguments about all aspects of slavery. He criminalizes the action and participation in the selling and buying of any slaves.
